AGRICULTURAL SHOW
NEWBURY SHOWGROUND
We were proud to be selected as the event cleaning contractor to Aztec, the even organisers for the agricultural show at Newbury Show Ground in April 2026. When you say cleaning quickly, it is hard to understand the complexities and planning that goes into an event of this size.
I try to offer as much value as I can at my booking and as usual, I asked David of www.davidjmarsh.co.uk to join me along with Bruce of www.dragonflyvision.co.uk who together, provided professional photography and drone video of the vent. This provides me with plenty of information for my BLOG pages and my social media content. It also provides my client, Aztec with valuable marketing content.
The day started of in torrential rain with 13 members of my cleaning staff having to change their branded clothing twice in one day! Our brief was to ensure that the Portaloo’s were clean throughout the day with the fixed toilet blocks also being impeccable and constantly supplied with toilet rolls and soap etc. In addition, we had to keep the many bins provided by us also emptied and kept disinfected.
We achieved this through structuring three mobile teams. The first would contently maintain a site visual providing clean bins, toilet rolls, soaps and disinfectants. The second team would clean each rubbish bin, Portaloo and toilet block whilst the third team maintained a strict communication between the client, cleaning staff and management.
In addition to the agreed cleaning services, we were also bombarded with additional requests to fix broken equipment like damaged toilets, broken toilet seats, sinks and soap dispensers, not to mention damaged doors and fencing!
Finaly, once the show was finished, we also provided the after event clean and client reporting.
It was clear that our cleaning team provided a type of 'glue' that held the event together!
